Females of the soybean cyst nematode (SCN) are visible on a soybean root (see photo below). The cyst is a dead female filled with eggs. As the female ages, she becomes dark brown in color. For more information on soybean cyst nematode please refer to E-210 and the Soybean Cyst Nematode website.
